Terms of Service
Last updated: March 25, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Meridian (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and i60, the company that operates Meridian.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. We recommend reading these Terms carefully before creating an account.
2. Service Description
Meridian is a free scheduling platform that allows users to create scheduling links, manage their availability, and accept bookings from others. The Service integrates with external calendar providers (such as Google Calendar) to keep your availability accurate and up-to-date.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to inform users of significant changes.
3. User Accounts
To use Meridian, you must create an account. By doing so, you agree to the following:
- You will provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Each account is for a single individual. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent.
- You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service.
- You will notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Meridian only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Using the Service to send spam, unsolicited communications, or abusive messages to invitees or other users.
- Automated scraping, crawling, or harvesting of data from the platform without prior written consent from i60.
- Attempting to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts, data, or any part of our infrastructure.
- Using the Service in a manner that could damage, overload, or impair its performance for other users.
- Violating any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations in connection with your use of the Service.
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination.
5. Intellectual Property
The Meridian platform — including its design, code, branding, and all associated intellectual property — is owned by i60 and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our express written permission.
You retain full ownership of the data you create through the Service, including your scheduling links, booking configurations, and invitee data. By using Meridian, you grant i60 a limited licence to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
6. Third-Party Services
Meridian integrates with third-party services, most notably Google Calendar and Google OAuth. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of those providers.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service. If a third-party integration becomes unavailable or changes its terms, we will endeavour to update or replace it, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted functionality as a result of such changes.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of third-party integrations through Meridian complies with the relevant third-party terms of service.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that Meridian will be error-free, continuously available, or free from interruptions or data loss.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, i60 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including, but not limited to, missed meetings, lost bookings, or data loss.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of ZAR 500 or the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if we determine, in our reasonable judgement, that you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that is harmful to other users, third parties, or the integrity of the Service.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, limitation of liability, and governing law — will remain in effect after your account is closed.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or via an in-app notice.
Your continued use of Meridian after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
